Are you talking about a baseball cap? If so, I will see what I can do. In the meantime, please check out my video entitled,” How To Make A simple Hat.” You may be able to use some of the steps in the video to make a hat.
(3) Kids grow out of their jeans fast. Helping a little girl make this tote from her own jeans (bedazzle it, etc.) will teach her some life skills (sewing, creative ways to save money & reuse things) & help her explore & express her own style. Her new bag would be great 4 crafts, playdates, trips to the library, etc. That skirt would also make a cute throw pillow for her room.
(1) Sew velcro to front pockets to secure them closed. This will create great storage for cell phone, ipod or keys (on a key fob hung from the belt loop near the pocket)
(2) Scarves are popular now. Accent bag w/ a little scarf tied to 1 belt loop. Or get a drawstring effect by pulling a long scarf through all the belt loops
D, thanks for this vid. Love the tote & your style! Clever how u positioned the straps to make it hug/hang close to the body. Sharp & current!!! Plus, it would be harder for someone to reach into it in a crowd … perfect for art fairs, festivals, flea markets, etc. ~ unlike some tote bags that hang open in the front & back.
A few studs along the waist band might be cute, too.
I am going to make a bag. I already have long jeans skirts so a bag to match it will be great. It is okay that you misread it. It is quite hard to read intention through messages.
Ohhh, okay…I thought you were…my bad. I am sorry I misunderstood what your statement. Sometimes, it is easy to misunderstand the written word without the other senses to tell how a statement is actually meant. Anyhow, I do think that D. Gully is creatve and a has a lot of great ideas. Are you going to make a tote bag or skirt?
My comment was not negative. I liked what she did. However, I was just saying that for me I would expand this even further, and how I would do it. That is not negative. Negative would be saying it sucked or it was ugly, neither of which is true. As for the other option, it would not be for me, as I am overweight and do not look good in skirts. Although, it would look great on my daughters who are normal weight.
I think I would want a bottom to the bag and maybe a zipper at the top to keep things from falling out. for the bottom, I would choose a long oval or rectangle and sew it in the bottom so that it goes all the way around. For the zipper, I think I would measure the top of the inside of the jeans, cut 2 small denim strips and sew a zipper to both strips, and then sew the strips to the inside top of the bag, maybe a half an inch to the side. Anyhow, I will have to try this out. It looks cute!
Good basic idea but i would do soooo much more with it, u can add more fabric at the pockets etc, add ribbon, buttons, use fabric to sew some cool handles.
its a lot better using a sewing machine and it will last better.
wow am so happy cause i have so many designer jean that i no longer wear but yet have some very cool design I’ll definitely will be trying your idea out. and i love hand bags so with that on my mine I’ll be saving on my collection of bags. stay fabulous and god bless

D, you got me thinking:

I agree with you that your comment wasn’t negative!

I don’t know why people put a negative. you were give another option to do this. cool!

After you add all that, it would look fabu(1908′s), however, it would be expensive, and that wouldn’t make it to the “DISCOUNT” trendsetter show.
Git it ta-gethah baaabay(wanda sykes).
